IT (Information Technology) Purchases: Cheque-Writing Campaign

Dear Ross Road Parents,

On Tuesday, Feb. 7th, all children in the school brought  home a package of information and a donation request form for Information Technology (IT) purchases we wish to make this year. This program has been discussed at the last two PAC General meetings, both times with unanimous support for the idea. We hope you will take the time to review the information and support the PAC in these purchases.

The info contained in this package is also available online. Click here if you did not receive the package and would like to learn more.

Also please note: Donation cheques should be made payable to Ross Road PAC. Please drop your donation and form (click here to download a copy) in the locked PAC Drop-box in the school lobby.

Thank you for your support!

Ross Road PAC.

Christmas Craft Fair 2011 – final totals

Click image for more details about the 2011 Fair

…we made an astonishing $8,700 at the Craft Fair!!!  We believe this is a record number and we can all be very proud of ourselves in being part of such an amazing community event. The Christmas Craft Fair is one of our major fundraisers for the Ross Road community and all proceeds will go to make the school a better place for all of our kids!  Part of the money will be spent on new computer purchases and the rest will go into our general fund.

Class reps and parents, you truly outdid yourselves with the class baskets this year.  They alone raised $4,100!  Congratulations to all the lucky raffle basket winners! Click here for the complete list of winners.

Thank you for all of you who volunteered – behind the scenes and/or at the fair – we couldn’t have done it without you!  We count ourselves as extremely lucky to be working with such a committed bunch of people.  Thanks again for contributing your amazing energy, creativity and hard work to make this such a successful Craft Fair.

And thank you to everyone who came out on December 2nd and bought raffle tickets, food, drinks and crafts, and contributed to the amazingly festive atmosphere of this year’s Christmas Craft Fair!

Have a wonderful Christmas holiday – enjoy the well deserved time off with your family and all the best for 2012.

A few more Christmas Craft Fair reminders, then it’s time to have some fun!

Crafts display in the lobby

Just a few more days until the much-anticipated Christmas Craft Fair! Here’s how you can help make the event a success and lots of fun for the kids!

  1. Sign up for a shift! Check the sign-up sheets posted in the lobby or connect with your class rep to sign up for a shift. It’s fun and easy and a great way to catch up with other parents! Click here to see a list of volunteer positions.
  2. Bake Sale: Please drop off cookies or brownies or cupcakes or squares or whole loaves or cakes at the office on Friday December 2nd. Where possible, please do not put nuts in your “baking”! Store bought “baking” is always welcome! We ran out of baking last year so please be generous!
  3. Mystery Bags: Bags can be dropped off at the lobby all week long.  The children LOVE these fun bags. Bags should have an approximate value of $5 per bag, and everything in the bags should be NEW (please, NO old candy or used toys). The bags could include fun holiday- or winter-themed things such as craft kits or supplies, ornaments to colour, kids’ costume jewellery or hair bands, fun kid’s gloves, small puzzles or games, candy boxes or bags, pencils, etc. The “bag” can be anything you like… brown lunch bag, goodie bag, gift bag – with the contents a mystery! All styles are welcome and fun! Please label the bag as primary or intermediate and boy, girl, or either as appropriate.
  4. Beat the rush and buy your tickets in advance! Tickets are available for sale before and after school in the lobby on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Click on the following price lists for more details:
