We made it to May and we have been lucky to have some nice days here and there, lets hope we have more.
UPDATES
KM club report – 4th week update – Ross road’s runners and walkers have collectively crossed Canada and have reached St. John’s! Now, with only five KMC days to go, it is time to double down and make it back! The total number of students who participated in week four was 207 and 54 of those were intermediate students. This means that it is still within the realm of possibility to double the mileage between now and May 12. Keep coming if you have been a regular and please consider joining the fun if you haven’t. The music on Fridays is really motivating.

BrainSTEM – 3rd after school 6 week session – Great feedback from parents of students currently enrolled in the program.

- BRAINSTEM: LITTLE BRAINS – CHEMICAL ENGINEERING (6 WEEK SERIES) (K – 1 boys & girls, maximum 12 students)
- Dates: Thursdays 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the music room May 18, 25, June 1, 8, 15, 22 Cost: $135 + GST for 6 x 1 hour sessions
- BRAINSTEM: SPECIALISTS/MANAGERS: CHEMICAL ENGINEERING (6 WEEK SERIES) (Grade 2-7 boys & girls)
- Dates: Thursdays 3:00 to 4:30 pm in the music room May 18, 25, June 1, 8, 15, 22 Cost: $160+ GST for 6 x 1.5 hr sessions
- BRAINSTEM: LITTLE BRAINS – AEROSPACE ENGINEERING (5 WEEK SERIES) (K – 1 boys & girls, maximum 12 students)
- Dates: Mondays 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the music room MAY 29, JUNE 5, 12, 19, 26 Cost: $112.50+ GST for 5 x 1 hour sessions
- BRAINSTEM: SPECIALISTS/MANAGERS: ASTRONAUTICAL AEROSPACE ENGINEERING (5 WEEK SERIES) (Grade 2-7 boys & girls)
- Dates: Mondays 3:00 to 4:30 pm in the music room MAY 29, JUNE 5, 12, 19, 26 Cost: $133.33 + GST for 5 x 1.5 hr sessions
Suggestion Box – Deadline for parent feedback (suggestions on spending PAC funds by Tuesday May 9th , Special Events Hosts initiative, After school programs – BrainSTEM, Ultimate Frisbee – by May 24th) Will be discussed at AGM.

Spring Carnival – The Spring Carnival sprites are busy planning a night of food and festive fun on June 9th. Please remember to give your class rep $5 to Support our Sprites and help pay for prizing. Thanks for contributing to a great community event!
