Planters are $30
Strawberry plants are $22

You can find the order form here. Payment can be made by cash or cheque payable to ‘Ross Road School’.

If you know a child in grade 6 and would like to specifically support their travel costs, please give your order and payment to that student directly.

We are one of the last schools in the district still doing a Quebec exchange and this is due to our strong community of parents who work hard to facilitate this rich language experience and cultural adventure. This exchange will be organized and funded by the current grade 6 families.

Thank you for your support in making this possible for our kids!

Your sincerely,

Grade 6 French Immersion Parents and Students.

Emergency Kit Fundraiser Open

EM-PREPARE-Ready

Jocelyn Hewson from North Shore Emergency Services attended our last PAC general meeting and gave a very informative presentation on emergency preparedness for families.

One way families can be prepared is to have an emergency kit, so we have re-opened our online fundraiser where you can purchase ready to go emergency preparedness kits.

Ross Road PAC has partnered with BC Quake to offer a discount off their regular retail priced safety and survival kits. And from our purchases, BC Quake will donate back to our PAC $20 from the sale of every earthquake kit and $10 from the sale of every vehicle kit.

Ordering is now open and will continue until April 2nd.

• Orders will be delivered April 9

Please follow the link below to order your kits online:

KM Club

Week three: In the middle of Friday’s run something weird happened at Kilometre Club. The kids got a strong whiff of a strange odor. It was Justin Trudeau’s aftershave. That could only mean one thing: they had reached Ottawa.

Truly, the Kilometre Clubbers are racking up heroic mileage. Almost 3500 km, now, and it’s only the end of week three! This week the kids — all 190 of ‘em — ran 1031 km. (F12 alone logged 104 km.) At this pace they will hit Nova Scotia by early May, dip a toe in the Atlantic, and turn around and head back.

Will they make it all the way home? That’ll depend on the numbers. And the speed.

No one is doubting the heart.

Week one and two updates available on last week’s post
