Hello parents at Ross Road,
The PAC has received letters from the North and West Vancouver Teachers’ Associations regarding the level of provincial funding for public education, the lack of progress in provincial bargaining and what they see as the government’s lack of commitment to public education. The letters are addressed to the PAC Chair and parents/guardians, respectively.
We are attaching both letters for your reference:

Thank you for your attention,

Mark your calendars! It’s the annual
ROSS ROAD CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR
Friday December 2, 2011 5:00 – 8:00 PM
We are so excited about this year’s rendition of the Ross Road Christmas Fair! Imagine an evening with your family, strolling through the school, listening to live Christmas music, sipping on hot chocolate or hot spiced apple cider, visiting with Santa, getting some Christmas shopping done and taking time to create a Christmas craft together. And to top the evening off, you have a chance to win one of the remarkable Christmas Raffle Baskets!
Here are a few more highlights:
This is one of our major events of the year, giving the opportunity to raise much needed funds as well as build our community and strengthen the bonds between our families and school. All proceeds will go to make the school a better place for all of our kids.
We really hope to see all of you there!
Any questions, please contact:
• Bettina Harris at robandbettina@shaw.ca or
• Desiree Blume at desireeblume@gmail.com
We would like to take the opportunity to thank Carolyn Sluis, our PAC co-chair since 2009, for very capably coordinating the Christmas Craft Fair for the past few years. Thank you, Carolyn, for all the energy and effort you and your team put into creating such memorable, festive evenings for students and parents!
Please bring in your canned good, cereals, peanut butter etc. by Tuesday, November 15th. This the last day to contribute to the Food Bank initiative.
PLEASE DROP OFF ALL FOOD DONATIONS IN THE BOXES IN THE SCHOOL LOBBY (the boxes have been removed from the classrooms)
Click here to see a list of suggested items to bring.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this food drive successful. I know many families will appreciate the donations this holiday season.

This is a message from Ross Road School:
Dear parents,
We are having our Remembrance Day assembly at 11 a.m. tomorrow and have asked any students who are involved with Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Sparks, etc. to wear their uniforms tomorrow.
We are also asking students to dress in appropriate clothing for a formal assembly.
Each student will be given a poppy and we are hoping that the students will bring a small donation for the collection tins from the Legion.
Thank you,
Ross Road School
