Mystery Bags needed for the Christmas Craft Fair!

The Christmas Craft Fair will have a Mystery Bag game this year!

Parents, we NEED your help for this ever-popular treat. Please be generous – donate a few mystery bags for the Christmas Craft Fair so every child may have a chance to get one!

  • Preferably the bags should have a holiday or winter theme but they are certainly not limited to that.
  • The children LOVE these fun bags. Bags should have an approximate value of $5 per bag, and everything in the bags should be NEW (please, NO old candy or used toys). The bags could include fun holiday- or winter-themed things such as craft kits or supplies, ornaments to colour, kids’ costume jewellery or hair bands, fun kid’s gloves, small puzzles or games, candy boxes or bags, pencils, etc.
  •  The “bag” can be anything you like… brown lunch bag, goodie bag, gift bag – with the contents a mystery! All styles are welcome and fun! Please label the bag as primary or intermediate and boy, girl, or either as appropriate.

Mystery Bags can be dropped off anytime in the box by the PAC mailbox located in the lobby below the “down” stairs up to and including the day of the Christmas Craft Fair – Friday, December 2nd.

North and West Vancouver Teachers’ Association letters to parents regarding provincial underfunding

Hello parents at Ross Road,

The PAC has received letters from the North and West Vancouver Teachers’ Associations regarding the level of provincial funding for public education, the lack of progress in provincial bargaining and what they see as the government’s lack of commitment to public education. The letters are addressed to the PAC Chair and parents/guardians, respectively.

We are attaching both letters for your reference:

This is a message from Ross Road School:
Dear parents,

We are having our Remembrance Day assembly at 11 a.m. tomorrow and have asked any students who are involved with Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Sparks, etc. to wear their uniforms tomorrow.

We are also asking students to dress in appropriate clothing for a formal assembly.

Each student will be given a poppy and we are hoping that the students will bring a small donation for the collection tins from the Legion.

Thank you,

Ross Road School
