Reminder – Bike to School Week is next week!
Bike to school week is May 27th through the 31st. Bike trips to school will be recorded in each classroom and the primary & intermediate class with the most trips will be awarded a class GOLF LESSON!!!
Come early at 8am on Monday May 27th and participate in our opening Bike Rodeo and biking games. Lynn Valley Bikes will be there for free tune-up, Wade Simmons will be demo’ing jumps, and Escape will have ramps & ladders set up!
Monday & Tuesday – Kindergarden students through grade 5 will attend biking sessions on the field with Escape Adventures. **Parents – in order for ALL students to participate in this activity, we will be asking anyone who can loan their bike throughout the day to another student to see ESCAPE adventures in the morning to have a ribbon tied on your bike. ESCAPE will store these bikes on the field and keep watch over them during the day and fit any students who don’t have a bike to them so everyone can participate!!!
Velodrome Field Trips – All grade 6 & 7’s will participate in a field trip to the Burnaby Velodrome.
Wrap up the week by biking with your family to SPRINGfest! Prizes from bike to school week will be announced and handed out at SpringFEST.
If you live far from the school, consider driving part way and biking the rest! And TEACHERS… your trips count! Any ties this year will be decided by teacher trips.
Any questions or to volunteer please contact Jackie_Hicks@hotmail.com

SpringFEST 2019 – one week away!
There are many ways that we need your support to make this year’s SpringFEST fundraising event a great success.
The only hot food at SpringFEST – pre-order your pizza
We’ve teamed up with Fresh Slice to provide fresh pizza – order by the slice or a whole pizza for the family. Order before May 28 through munchalunch.com under the “Fundraising Open” tab. Pre-ordering ensures you get the pizzas you want (pick-up between 5-6pm) and receive better value than buying on the evening. Please place your orders under one child’s name if possible.
At the same time you can pre-purchase the event’s activity tickets through munchalunch.com. Purchase 20 tickets at a time and pick up before or after school on May 30/31.
Mystery Bag Prize Wheel
Children have brought home paper bags to fill and return to be part of the Mystery Bag Prize Wheel. Click for full instructions . We ask for filled bags to be returned by May 24.
Cake walk donations
Please bring in cakes, cupcakes and other baked goods to the school on the morning of May 31. Do remember everything should be nut-free.

Thanks for all of those that have volunteered so far to help run the activities. See more details from your class rep and secure your volunteer time slot through SignUpGenius –https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0e45a5aa22abf94-volunteer
