Are you interested in expressing your views about the effects of cuts on public education, or finding out more about what’s going on with the current Job Action? If so, there are two options next week:
- TUESDAY, MAY 22nd – PARENT PLAYGROUND GATHERING
Next Tuesday a group of concerned parents will be meeting in the school playground at 2:30pm to discuss ways of advocating for high quality education for their children. Hope you can join us! Rain or shine – meet under the covered area by the primary swings if it’s wet! - THURSDAY, MAY 24th – JANE THORNTHWAITE FIRESIDE CHAT
Would you like your provincial representative to know your feelings about the labour dispute with the teachers? If so, visit MLA Jane Thornthwaite during her “fireside chat” at the Lynn Valley library on Thursday, May 24th. Drop in anytime from 10 to 11 am.
Click here to read more about the state of public education in BC. We are in the process of updating this section, which is partly why Tuesday’s playground meeting is taking place, so that we can come up with a strategy for keeping these pages informative, balanced and up-to-date.
If you can’t make it next Tuesday, but would like to share your comments, concerns or suggestions, please send an email to: advocacyrossroad@gmail.com
Thank you!
