Ross Road PAC Update

We hope your children are settled in and enjoying school, and that your family is finding its groove with the new fall routine. Our PAC is excited for the year ahead.

Valet Needs Your Help

Do you use our school valet service in the morning? Did you know our valet program makes us the envy of many schools in North Van? We have an awesome system that helps keep kids safe, but it needs your help. Our valet program is looking for at least two more helpers: one regular weekly volunteer and one back up person to help out occasionally. What’s involved? We’re glad you asked. Valet parents assist in managing traffic along the street or at the crosswalk on Bushnell Road in front of the school, help the student valet volunteers set out the traffic cones and return them to the school foyer after the second bell. It’s a 30-minute task, and it’s all done by around 8:50am leaving you time to get to work or other tasks for the day. For more information contact our Valet Coordinator Ed Lathioor at e.lathioor@gmail.com.

Terry Fox Run

Can you spare an hour in the afternoon on Thursday, September 27th? Volunteers are needed at the school field to assist in the run for primary students and to help supervise at busier crossings in the neighbourhood that intermediate students pass through on their run. Please contact teacher Angelee Bulsara at abulsara@sd44.ca.

Time for Munch a Lunch

lunchMunch a Lunch is open for orders! Get your hot lunch orders in before the order deadline on Wednesday, September 26th. Completed Your School Forms?

Here is a friendly nudge to please complete your online school forms that were sent to everyone at the beginning of the school year. Some classes are already organizing field trips and need to have the Walking Field Trip permission forms completed for each student.  If you didn’t receive the forms or need assistance contact the office at rossroad@sd44.ca.

We want to give a shout out to Ed Lathioor for his quiet, efficient management of our top-notch morning Valet program. Ed moved into the coordinator role last year and does a great job of fostering safety in front of the school during the busy morning drop off time and mentoring the eager student volunteers that help make our Valet program possible. Thank you Ed for your contributions to school!
