Ross Road Spring Carnival 2012

Click image to view larger poster

Mark your calendars for this year’s Spring Carnival – Friday, June 1st, from 5:00-8:00pm!

Please join us for:  Games for kids of all ages  •  Pony Rides  •  Bouncy Castle •  Crafts  •  Bicycle Courses  •  Cake Walk  •  Mystery Bags  •  Crazy Hair  •  Live Band  •  Café (drinks, pizza, snacks)   •  Carnival treats (popcorn, cotton candy, smoothies)  • Silent Auction (items from 4Cats, Maplewood Farms, Pedalheads, inbloomkids & more!)

Our goal is to raise $6000.00 for the PAC and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Here’s how:

  • Sign up for a shift at your class station:  Check the sign-up sheets on your child(ren)’s classroom door or connect with your class rep to sign up for a half-hour shift.  It’s fun and easy and a great way to catch up with other parents! Click here for a list of stations & activities by class.
  • Cake Walk:  Please drop off a cake, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, or squares at the office anytime on Friday, June 1st. We will be awarding these treats at the VERY POPULAR cake walk.  Please, “nut free” if possible! Store-bought “baking” always welcome!
  • Mystery Bags:  The kids LOVE these and we are dependent on parent-donated mystery bags to make this very popular station a success. Please donate a couple of bags (or more!) so that every child who wants one has a chance to buy one.  Bags should have an approx. value of $5, contain only NEW items, and be labeled intermediate/primary and boy/girl, as appropriate – items not visible, it’s a mystery!  Suggestions include:  $5 gift cards (booster juice, DQ, pizza, Starbucks etc), candy, cool school supplies, hair accessories, funky pens, craft supplies, travel games, sunglasses, fun jewelry.  Bags can also be dropped off at the office anytime on Friday, June 1st.

Our carnival is entirely supported by volunteer help and donations, so please be generous with your time, your baking, and your mystery bags!

Thanks, in advance, for your participation, & hope to see you there!

I love walking into a pub and knowing everyone there! It is fun to see parents (without kids) out having a good time… no soccer balls, no hockey rinks, not a back pack in sight! Just adult beverages and burgers… who knew these people could be this fun when their kids aren’t around!!
—Jane Ince

I never knew what a Toonie Toss was!  But the men sure do get competitive!  Given the prize… What a night!
—Judy C.

Thanks so much for helping us support our kids!
See you on November 19th!

*Information Technology (IT) Committee
The PAC has made the decision to purchase suitable computers and other technological devices for our classrooms. This is a large project that is directed by an Information Technology (IT) Committee. All stakeholders (teachers, administrators, School Board representatives and parents) are represented on the Committee. More information about IT purchases will be coming home to families soon. To assist in the purchases planned for this school year, funds raised at the Parents’ Night Out will go towards computers, iPad2’s, Smart Boards and laptops.
